Transforming a Home Beyond the Sale: From Property Styling to Interior Decoration

In the heart of Leichhardt, we recently had the opportunity to take a project full circle, styling the property for sale to then working closely with the new home owners to turn that same space into their forever home.

Our initial goal

Initially, our focus was clear.. style the home to sell.

We approached the property with a relaxed, contemporary aesthetic that reflected both the character of the area and what today’s buyers are drawn to: light-filled spaces, effortless flow, and a sense of calm. By layering soft textures, neutral tones, and carefully selected furnishings, we created an environment that felt warm, inviting, luxurious and easy to connect with. The open plan living and kitchen area became a standout feature, designed to highlight both functionality and lifestyle.

The result was a space that not only photographed beautifully but resonated emotionally with buyers walking through the door.

From Sale to Settlement

Following a successful sale, the journey didn’t end there. The new owners connected with the way the home felt and engaged us, this time for interior decoration. While property styling is about broad appeal, interior decoration is deeply personal, and this next phase allowed us to refine the space to truly reflect the clients’ lifestyle and taste.

We evolved the original styling concept into something more permanent, maintaining the relaxed, cohesive foundation while introducing more personality, layering, and custom elements. Furniture selections became more tailored, finishes more considered, and each space was designed to be lived in, not just admired.

What made this project particularly rewarding was the continuity. Having styled the property initially, we already understood its strengths, layout, and natural flow. This allowed us to transition seamlessly from a sales-focused approach to a fully realised home, ensuring nothing was lost in translation, only enhanced.

This project highlights the value of thoughtful design at every stage. From creating a compelling first impression to crafting a space that supports everyday living, the process is ultimately about connection, helping people see the potential of a home, and then helping them live beautifully within it.
